Dandruff shampoo not working or am i doing something wrong?

Q:It’s the only shampoo left in my house. Are there any side effects of using it even though I don’t have dandruff?

A:Your scalp is irritated. Stop shampooing and concentrate on conditioning. You will find that works. Only shampoo every other day, but condition regularly.

Note: When you shampoo, lightly wash and rinse. Do not vigorously shampoo. The dandruff is caused by your fingernails scratching dead skin on your scalp and shampooing only dries it out even more. Let the conditioner “condition” your scalp and hair. That is the key.

A:That is the reason you pup has dry skin, bathing a dog with dandruff shampoo made for humans is bad. It is to strong for their skin and will also dry the fur out creating more dander.
Bathing a dog to often also is the main cause of a dog having dander and can be remedied by using a oatmeal shampoo or a quality shampoo/conditioner made for puppies.
Ask you vet and the breeder of your pup to recommend a good quality food for your dog.

A:Head and Shoulders does not work at all!! Use just a normal shampoo and matching conditioner. I used to have dandruff and when I used Garnier or Suave, it went away! Hope I helped Image may be NSFW.

A:put apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle and mist it on your scalp when its wet in the shower, then wash it out after a few minutes

A:Have a look at the link below; there’s quite a lot of tips there to help you. Lemon juice is my personal favourite, works a treat and makes yur house smell nice!

A:I would take her to a vet to see if there is any important medical issue. However, you might just need to change her diet. Many dogs with skin problems do very well with food that is rich in omega 3 fatty acids. Main sources of these fatty acids are fish so you can try to find a food that’s main ingredient is fish.

A:It depends how much u want to spend.. I like Garnier too and Dove is also great.. But if you’re willing to spend a little more.. then I like biolage, pureology, or frederick fekaii. I’ve also been told to make sure the shampoo drenches the ends of your hair and use a conditioner. End the shower with cool water.

A:Depends what is causing it. I use a PH-neutral shampoo and that has stopped all my problems. (I used to have a flakey scalp although it was not dandruff).
